MegaTokyo Character ListNames of Japanese characters are in the Japanese order: family name first, given name last. The Kanji versions for many of them can be seen here.
Core characters | |
![]() Piro | An avid manga/anime fan, especially shoujo and dating sim games. Horrible when it comes to real girls. |
![]() Largo | A hardcore gamer who has an over-active imagination (or does he?), Largo gets into all kinds of trouble while in Japan... much to Piro's dismay. |
![]() Nanasawa Kimiko | Kimiko is an aspiring voice actress who has little confidence in herself or in her abilities. Also works as a waitress at Anna Miller's, and is Erika's roommate. |
![]() Hayasaka Erika | Erika works at MegaGamers, where she wears cosplay outfits everyday. She's known to use violence with guys who invade her personal space. |
![]() Tohya Miho | Darkly cute, Miho is perhaps the most enigmatic character in Megatokyo. Is she really (as Largo fears) the queen of the zombies, or is she just misunderstood? |
![]() Ping | Ping is a prototype of the Sony SEVS-44936, a new Playstation 2 accessory that will allow the player to interact with the main girl in any visual novel or dating sim. She's very real, and doesn't handle rejection well at all. |
![]() Sonoda Yuki | A real, honest to goodness Japanese schoolgirl. Yuki finds herself mixed up with Piro and company after discovering Piro's incredible drawing abilities. |
![]() Dom | Went to college with Largo, and now works for Sega. Very competitive with his best friend/arch-rival, Ed, you'll never see Dom without a mini-arsenal of guns. |
![]() Ed | Dom's best friend/arch-rival. Ed works for Sony, and seems to always get the raw end of the deal during any adventure with Dom and Largo. His appearance changes a few times over the course of the comic. |
![]() Seraphim | As Piro's conscience, Seraphim has her work cut out for her. She has to deal with his fascination with Japanese schoolgirls, and his plight of being stranded in a foreign country. |
![]() Boo | All the temp agency had, Boo is Seraphim's new assistant. A hamster with strap-on wings, Boo has been acting as Largo's conscience... and doing the best job he can. |
![]() Junpei | Junpei is a l33t ninja-for-hire. He idolizes Largo, who he calls the l33t Master. |

![]() Kobayashi | Kobayashi is the fanboy who made the most progress during the reconnaissance mission. |
![]() Man Moeko | Sure, he just looks like an obsessed fanboy, but wait until he puts on his Moeko kigurumi costume. Then he's downright scary. |
![]() Kuro | Kuro and his friends like to eat at the Meguro Anna Miller's and admire the waitresses there. |
![]() Sleepy Shadow | Once part of Kuro's group, he rejected those ways and started the Nanasawa Protection Coalition. |
Yuki's family and friends
![]() Sonoda Masamichi | Yuki's father. A member of the Tokyo Police Cataclysm Division, Inspector Sonoda deals with all the scheduled, and unscheduled, disasters that occur in Tokyo. |
![]() Sonoda Meimi | Yuki's mom. The stay-at-home type, Meimi is very observant and is pretty quick to tell what is going on with her daughter. She also has a Mysterious past. |
![]() Sonoda Yuuji | Yuki's older brother. He teases Yuki, as brothers often do. |
![]() Sonoda Hitoshi | Masamichi's brother. He's not a current character, but he played an important role in the past when he broke a certain girl's heart. |
![]() Kurabayashi Asako | One of Yuki's friends from school. Very cheerful, blunt at times, and so energetic it hurts just to watch her. |
![]() Teramoto Mami | Another of Yuki's school friends. More level-headed than Asako. She's quick to point out when Yuki does something wrong, but is fiercely defensive of her as well. |
![]() Kobayashi Yutaka | Goes to Yuki's school. Has a not-so secret crush on her. |
![]() Kobayashi Ririka | Yutaka's mother. She is a nurse at the hospital. |
![]() Zom-Zom | This unfortunate Rent-A-Zilla was borrowed by Yuki and Largo to fight zombies and fell victim to their bite. Shrunk down to managable size by a friend of Meimi's, Zom-Zom now lives as Yuki's pet, using old electronics for chew toys. |

![]() Marcus | One of the office guys at Conscience Enforcement Authority headquarters, he is mostly responsible for turning down budget requests from field operatives. |
![]() CEA agent | Marcus's friend at the CEA office. We don't know his name. |
![]() Seraphim's sister | Seraphim's sister thinks that Seraphim encourages Piro too much and that what he really needs is a dose of reality. |
![]() Seraphim's other sister | On the other hand, this sister has a cheery optimism and thinks Piro can embrace his faults and still find happiness. |
At school | |
![]() Nurse Sugawara | The school nurse at Shiritsu Daitou High School, where Miho and Ping are students. Seems like a nice lady, and she attends to Miho when she gets ill. |
![]() Principal | Probably principal of Shiritsu Daitou High School. One of the guys in charge, anyway. |
![]() Yuki's teacher | This teacher sometimes has to deal with Yuki's daydreaming or her friends' overzealous attempts to cheer her up. |
![]() Ibara Junko | Class president of "Great Teacher" Largo's English class. Junko is his biggest critic. She doesn't like Miho very much either. |
![]() Ninamori | Another student in Largo's class. |
Misc | |
![]() Yanagisawa | The boss at MegaGamers. He is intimidated by Erika, but is highly sympathetic to her as well. |
![]() Tsubasa | Tsubasa is Piro's friend in Japan, and let him and Largo crash in his little apartment before he took off to America. Friendly to a fault. |
![]() L33td00d | Known to us only as the l33t d00d, this guy looks kinda like a raver and speaks almost exclusivly in advanced l33t. He shows up when Largo finds himself getting challenged to an arcade game duel. |

Game Avatars | |
![]() Piroko | Piro's avatar for Quake and other gun toting FPS type games. Piroko, obviously, is female. Cool, calm, calculated, and very handy with a gun. |

![]() Pirogoeth | Piro's avatar in the MMORPG Endgames. Presumably a magic user. |

![]() LPhone | Largo's heavily modified iPhone, features include the Tr4nzl33t app. |
Staff | |
![]() Fred | The artist himself, in comic form. Sometimes we get to see the predicaments he and Sarah get themselves into. |
![]() Sarah | She does still have angel wings, you just can't see them. |
![]() Shirt Guy Dom | Fred's way of "torturing" the fans by letting Dom write and draw strips. Shirt Guy Dom is, essentially, Dom as a stick figure. Often accompanied by stick figure Ed and others. Bad drawings, bad jokes, good fun to be had by all. |
